We are actively searching for a confident, professional Licensed and Registered Radiologic Technologist to join our team.
This position is in a rural critical access hospital, will require call and weekends on a rotating basis.
Assures safe care at all times and upholds the commitment to care for each patient. Perform CT and General Radiography exams in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations and laws. Utilize appropriate knowledge and competency in universal precautions as well as infection control. Demonstrates safe operation of equipment. Follows procedures for reporting, then correcting an unsafe situation. Demonstrates continued competence in caring for individuals based upon age-specific needs utilizing developmental perspective. Displays a caring and responsive attitude. Conducts all activities respecting patient, family and employee rights, all while realizing that primary customer needs take precedence. Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring the procedure is appropriate based upon medical history. Appropriately protect and shield exposed areas that do not require imaging. Accurately maintain all required documentation, logs, forms and records for radiology department. Perform QA/QC of imaging equipment according to established protocols and policies. Provide basic care anticipating customer needs and responding accordingly as evidenced by satisfaction surveys and individual reports. Assist in initiating care to stabilize patient and assist in managing life support needs by collaborating with clinical staff. Accurately and concisely documents services provided within the medical record in a thorough, timely manner. Demonstrate proficiency at venipuncture. Report adverse treatments or medications in accordance with current policies and procedures. Ensure proper supplies, appropriate medical equipment and medications are available for patient care. Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information as required by HIPPA laws, as well as facility policy. Adheres to established facility/departmental policies and procedures. Follows established policies and procedures with regard to attendance, requesting time off according to procedure established by supervisor. Maintains a clean work area, facility and equipment. Maintain dress and appearance according to facility policy. Seeks consultation/collaboration for complex issues or when unsure, while utilizing resources appropriately. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Radiology Director.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; occasionally required to sit for long periods of time; regularly required to stand for long periods of time; regularly required to use hands to handle, grasp, or feel objects, tools, and controls; regularly required to walk or use other means of mobility; occasionally required to reach with hands and arms above head and below waist; occasionally required to kneel, stoop, and crouch; and occasionally required to use push and pull motion. The employee must frequently be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds or more using proper lifting techniques. The employee is required, with or without corrective lenses, to have visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection; operation of equipment; investigating and assessing; determining accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work; and to make general observations.
Professional Credentials Required:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
State Licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist with Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
ARRT certification in Radiography.
Computed Tomography experience.
Minimum one year of experience as a Radiological Technologist and performing basic CT procedures.
